Mornington! God is the One who keeps us safe. You tend to rely heavily on your thinking and planning, as if that is where your security lies. When you start to feel anxious about something, your mind goes into overdrive--searching for solutions, searching for security. All the while God is with you, holding you by your right hand. Beware of trusting in yourself--which is foolish. Instead, walk in wisdom and you will be kept safe. The essence of wisdom is to trust more in The Lord than in yourself or other people. He stands ready to guide us with His counsel, so bring ALL your concerns to Him. When you are feeling confused, it may be helpful to write out your prayers, asking God to show you the way forward. Then wait in the Presence of The Lord, giving Him time to guide your mind while you focus on Him and His Word. You can whisper, Jesus, to help you stay focused. His Name--representing all that He is--is a strong tower; those who run to it are safe. (Read scriptures: Psalm 73:23-26; Proverbs 28:26, 18:10).
