Most of my life has been spent either around mostly black people or mostly white. And both races got their certain things they do and say. Like for instance when I say I draw, black people say you should do tattoos and white people say you should go to art school Or when I say I like comic books black people say I dont like comic books and white people say you should start collecting they could be worth money one day Or when I say I dont care about name brand clothes black people say oh that couldnt be me. Cant let nobody catch you slippin and white people say name brands are a waste of money Or when I say I have a job in fast food black ppl say least you working and white ppl say I hope youre planning to start college soon And when I get paid my black friends say lets go out this weekend and my white friends say you should start saving cuz the future hits you fast The point of this black and white people have totally different outlooks on life. And maybe we need to stop always saying its the white man keeping us down or holding us back cuz we do it to ourselves. So busy tryna be cool and show off and we dont do any planning for our future. We holding ourselves back with our own close mindedness and superficiality.
