Mother Theresa won the Nobel Peace Prize. Patty Hearst went on an involuntary sleep over with the SLA and nothing came between Brooke Shields and her Calvins. People were listening to My Sharona and Farrah Fawcetts feathered look was all the rage. Sunset High School just crowned Jayne Bruno Homecoming Queen and Dan Peters and Wendy Weidkamp were voted best all around. The year was 1979.
