Moyola Park U17, sponsored by Henry Brothers (Magherafelt) Ltd, result from Saturday 2nd November, North West and Coleraine District Youth League; Moyola Park 2 v Coleraine 0 Moyola went into the match weakened by the absence of goal keeper Alex Hancock who was attending a golf tournament. Having to field leading scorer Sam White in goal Moyola defended solidly and counter attacked with pace finally making the break through on 30 mins from a quick long ball from Sam White spliting the Coleraine defence setting Matthew Mulholland through one on one with the keeper who came charging from his box only to be wrong footed coolly by Mulholland to then slide the ball into the empty net. Moyola started the second half brightly with Sam White reverting back to his attacking position and Cathal Farren replacing Sam in nets, using his strength and pace Sam almost scored within 1 min of the restart only to be denied by a good save from the Coleraine keeper. Moyola defended solid with Bryn Jones pulling the strings in the middle of the park producing a Man of the Match performance. Moyola eventually doubled their lead through Sam White with a well taken goal rounding the keeper being fouled in the process but got to his feet quickly and slotted home into the empty net after a neat headed pass from Robert Riddell.
