Mr President, I share your concern and I believe millions of conservative Muslims do too. But to the jihadists amongst us, their love for their religion is more enmeshed in taking out the unbelivers, kafirs as they know them. To them, this is the highest duty, far beyond the requirements of the Ramadan, in obedience to the injunctions of Islam. Ramadan wont stop them. Lets not just hope for peace only, thinking that these men will rest on their oars, lets not drop our guards pretending that all is well because it is Ramadan. Our security men must be up and doing. Neighbour to neighbour watch should not only have a meaning for your political campaigns, it should be your security code name, and I think monies should be wisely spent on public awareness campaign and citizens civil duties than on foreign image laundry.
