Music #ThrowbackThursday \\ Do Make Say Think (official) \\ You, You’re a History in Rust Post-rock music stirs up creativity for me. It’s amazing how a compelling song – in fact, a compelling album – can be put together with very few words or even traditional song structure. This is where I introduce to you Do Make Say Think, a collective from Ontario that has been making such music for nearly twenty years. Incredibly enough, they have managed to improve their quality from album to album, never falling backwards. The band recorded an album this summer, but they have yet to announce a release. Until then, check out their album from 2007, You, You’re a History in Rust. It is their masterpiece for the reasons of consistency, expansiveness, and accessibility (their 2009 album Other Truths, while maintaining a better sound, only had four songs averaging 11 minutes each).
