Music is amazing. One verse of a song can create a chain reaction of so many memories and emotions. The Bouncing Souls just came on my sat radio. With the crisp winter like air and the Bouncing Souls blaring through my speakers, I am instantly brought back to the moment of when I surprised Kate Laurie with tickets to the Bouncing Souls Home for the Holidays show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. It was an awesome show with awesome people. The air was very similar to this evening. As the band finished their set and people began to filter out of the venue, we walked onto the boardwalk, where a closing restaurant had MGMT playing on their outdoor speakers. As we hugged and kissed in the cold winter night, we had a moment of absolute bliss and happiness. I had never shared anything like that with anyone before. This is when I KNEW that she was the love of my life and would one day be my wife. Not wanting to waste such a precious moment, I spontaneously asked Kate to marry me. I had no intentions, no plans, and not even a ring at that moment; but that didnt matter, in fact all that mattered right then was my future with who is now my wife. Shit just got real.
