Muslim Women and the Ummah Sh Bilal Philips will present to the women participating (mostly young women) with a talk that we have given a title of “Muslim Women and the Ummah”. It would be great that the areas that the topic will cover will not only focus on the home (e.g Wife, Mother, etc) but also see if a Muslim Women has a wider role in building of productive Ummah – (e.g we have a shortage of Women Doctors to treat our Muslims sisters, Women teachers in the primary schools to support the children.) Do young women in Islam have a social responsibility? If yes, how does one achieve it? Another area the topic to touch upon is what does the Muslim Women as a person need to increase and develop as an individual to be a productive and responsible person in her family and society? Who are her role models? Could we have examples of female companions of Prophet Muhamed (PBUH) on how they supported in the spread of Isla
