Must vent.......I apologize in advance to anyone who may work for Comcast. But I have had yet another impossibly frustrating incident with them. Yesterday morning, our tenants had Comcast come out to fix something on their side of the house. Just before I was leaving for work, I realized that our cable was out. I went next door to tell the technician before he left. He made a comment to me about how the cable wiring in this house was a mess to which I responded that Comcast put the system in the house, not us. But, please do not leave until its fixed. Before I left for the day, I checked and the cable was on, so I yelled over to the guy and he left. When I got home later in the day, I realized that we had no internet and no phone. I called Comcast and went through the series of questions, only to be told that a technician would be available Wednesday afternoon. Oh, no way, I said....your technician came here and did something to stop the service and I need someone out here today.... Ill speak to my supervisor, she said......well because it was our error, we can send someone out there today between 4-8pm. Great, I said and hung up. I had shopping to do, but was now stuck at the house. John got home around 7:30ish, so I ran out to the store. When I got home around 8:30, no Comcast. They never showed or called. Furious, I tried to call for 30 minutes only to get a busy signal. Luckily, we have a friend who gave us some help. Still without internet or phone this morning, I left for work. By the time I got home, our friend had fixed the problem (yay!). When I called Comcast to complain about the no show/ no call last night, the customer service person said, oh, you dont have an appointment until Wednesday. There must have been a communication problem...... Then when I was able to check our email there were 2 appointment confirmation emails. One for Tuesday from 8-12 and one for Wednesday from 9-10. What the hell, Comcast????? Get your sh!t together!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr 😡😡😡😡😡
