My Dear Regardless who becomes the next Mayor of Toronto in November, that person has to deal with Scarborough Residents. Scarborough waor s pretty doing well as a city before the Amalgamation and I strictly oppossed the Amalgamation then and I still oppose now as it has Never yielded any dividend to Scarborough. The city is Scarborough was far better than Markham, Etiobicoke, East York, Pickering, Ajax and Oshawa. But after the sweet talk for nothing, Scarborough is grossly neglected, under-represented and residential tax-dollar is being shifted to promote the Toronto city core. Compare the aforemention surrounding city in respective from the Amalgamation till date, you would perhaps agree with me that Scarborough has not got its share but still look like a Lepper Colony or New Zealand of which everyone knows where its geographically located but not rushing to be there. Years ago, East York used to be called the Seniors Purgatory and under-rated compared with Scarborough. Comparatively today, Scarborough is lagging behinde upon which the same East York has interestingly more Innovated Buildings and improved landscape. Toronto was able to clear the February Winter storm in the main City core but forget to do the same in Scarborough for the same reason they impose abuse and insults to taxpayers of Scarborough. Its just unfair that when the City Officials talk about social Appointments, they scarcely think about anyone from Scarborough the same fear Mississuaga declined to be part of the Amalgamation that Toronto would use its tax money and forget the small guys. It is even more serious in job creation, development outline and distribution of serivices. It even questionable if Scarborough would get same Emergency Response as Toronto as plannned (ie. Pickering Emergency Evacution Drill has not been reviewed over the years since after the death of Mayors Harris, Frank Barbour, of Scarborough, etc).
