My First impressions of the PS4: Sony has def done a great job with this system. Everything feels like it came out of 2099. The system is very sleek and lighter than its counter part. The system is also very quiet compared to the PS3. The design is very sleek. The front loader blends in well and. The rear of the system is completely vented for maximum cooling. The ports are all there. I like that its very flat and has a nice mat design. They I also like the illumination effect the system has when it turns on. Again...this is only first impressions which means kid like comparisons. The Controller: You would think sony cant capitalize on an already great controller..but they continue to do it with the Dual Shock 4. The controller does have some weight but its for a great reason. They added so much useability to it, it is insane. The middle of the controller is now used as a touch pad...which also clicks likes a mouse. It now has a share and option button instead start and select. The analogs feel great. In stead of the concave nubs that make your thumbs slide around.....they put a nice convex outer ring so your thumbs dont slide off. They also added a Color bar to identify which player you are. This will be used in future releases. The D-Pad is even better than before. It just feels more responive than it ever has been. The power: its quick, real quick...boot times are insane. The menu is very smooth. I like the new UI. Its pretty much an update form of the XMB. This is def meant to be more social than ever. Many ideas are taken directly from facebook. I cant do much more review here since the network is being completely pounded with new users. Ill have a better idea when things die down a bit to be able to enjoy the rest of the system. The Games: I havent bought any as of yet but the free ps+ games are AWESOME. RESOGUN is updated version of defender but imagine bullet hell defender. Def fun. I am downloading Warframe and Contrast right now. So ill have a better review during that time. I have Target to hit tomorrow for B2G1 with 30% off any video game purchase. I have some time to choose my titles i guess. So the first impressions have impressed me...but ill have a better idea how much I will like when i get some actual games....well back to more Resogun.
