My Friday arvo induced comments to all 19,860 members. Read my complete post before you comment at least..! .. There is a total of eighteen (18) people actually bothered to book for the biggest anti-vlad fundraising concert event ever held. Most of them are only locals that I know. I am really considering actually whether this event should go ahead or not. Two frames of mind and I accept both as a plausible excuse. 1. There is such a overwhelming worry that actually putting your name and details to an event rather than just arriving anonymously is such a grave concern that you will turn up, but not prepay. - accepted or 2. There is such a FB support but no actual on the ground support that the Govt has won. That is what appears by the figures and will be thrown back at everyones face if this event fails. - not accepted Media has already had a field day with numbers at rallies and as we all know, will never show real figures. I honestly whole hardheartedly believe from even just local support and comments that the VLAD legislation is despised by many. The High Court Challenge will be valedictory, but unfortunately it requires mass funding - part of Newmans plan. How the money is raised is not the issue, but donate somewhere - my thought is at least you can have some entertainment for your hard earned gift. The media has already locally started to play with the event with comments of words only and limited - both embarrassing the cause for everyone involved. Many people have put a lot of effort and committed or donated their resources, talents, goods for free. I do NOT want to fail their faith nor destroy mine. I am well aware that there are so many events to attend, I am well aware that many of the19,860 people do not live with a distance of this event - accepted. Dont expect you to travel excessive, just as I cant to attend other distant events. I respect that as you should. I am only posting this critique here- no other page. Had my moment, but is there any way via PM, likes, actual bookings, email or freaking carrier pigeon that somehow the bands/artists/ stall holders etc can have some faith that someone will turn up. Whats it going to be, Yes or No ? That is all. This post will self destruct tomorrow sometime. Cheers
