My Friend from School: by g. green wood I followed my friend thru grade school, we romped and we played so rough I followed him right into junior high school, and there we learned to be tough He dropped out of school and I went on thru, I finished with all of my school We met on the bus one day after school and he preached that I was a fool Schools are for fools he once said to me, Those teachers don’t know anything They’re conning you kids, telling you lies, and both of you don’t know a thing. I lost track of my friend, I never saw him again, til I heard a man met his end He wasn’t my friend, He’d been killed by the man, who once had been my friend So good bye my friend, you’ll stay in that pen, until you’ve serve thirty and ten An education you’ll learn, I expect you’ll earn as a lesson, from the fix you are in
