My Hospital Special Visitor: Sleeping in my room today, 2:00 p.m. I heard someone knocking at the door. Waking up, it was my Mom, her age and health condition does not permit her to walk any long distance. I have been here for 5 days without seeing my Mum, she took the initiative to walk this long distance, walking and sitting by the road side until she made it here, looking very tired. With my leg I cant move as I really wanted to buy something to entertain her with, she told me not to worry, that after seeing me, she was just fine. It did not end there, she untied the top edge of her wrapper, removed 10.000FCFA all in different notes, 1000frs and 500frs notes, handed to me and said, it was her support for my hospital bill. This money is the profit she has been making from her petit business bitterleave sales every Sunday. You can imagine for how long she has been saving this. I couldnt hold myself anymore with tears running down all over my chic. She told me she is so happy to see me doing very well, wishing me a quick recovery so I can walk out of here and get back to my work again. We discussed on so many family issues and she told me how my boys are doing very well, said they will be visiting me tomorrow. I could not allow her trek back home as she wanted, I immediately called a friend with a taxi to come take her home. This is why I have every reason to celebrate my Mother everyday of my life.
