My MOOC for Rice University was filmed by Joseph Dwyer, whose student film DREAMERS was a finalist for the 41st Student Academy Awards. Joseph was part of a global team of filmmakers who recently went to China with the task of creating ten-minute documentaries for Beijing Normal University on any aspect of Chinese culture that interested them. Joseph created a brilliant film about transportation in the city of Tianjin, a film that gently reveals the extraordinary in the ordinary and the poetry in the routine.
