My brother, Larry Hazelwood, recently recounted a beautiful story about his neighbor and friend. I have a similar story. Recently, my church asked certain individuals to give their testimonies. My friend, J.T. Yoon, an individual that fled North Korea during the Korean war, was asked to give his. He ended his testimony with I thank GOD everyday for what he has given us, I thank God everyday for the privilege to live in US of A, I thank God for allowing me, and my family, to live here. God Bless America. The beginning of his journey started: he was a 13 years old and a House Boy to American GIs. He became very close to them and learn a little English. The GIs arranged to get J.T. out of Korea on a freighter with $12 that was collected among them, and a little GI English. It was such a tiny bit of money, but J.T. didnt know that. Hed turned that $12 into an education; he retired as a Professor of Mathematics, then worked in the private sector. He, again, retired from a well known VA company as Comptroller Director. He is, today, enjoying retirement with his American Grandchildren and working for The Lord.
