My brother Rwamuguma Mwene Rwabituza You could notice, I have taken so long before responding to your argument regarding the Charlie Hebdo magazine attack in Paris and the response from the world leaders. Of course, I will continue to condemn both the attack on Charlie Hebdo by the terrorists and I will also continue to condemn the response by the world leaders to that effect. When terrorists attacked that magazine of course it was in defence of their religion. I am not a Muslim but I believe the western world has continued to disrespect Islam by portraying Prophet Mohammed in all sorts of cartoons. This inflicts so much pain on the Muslim faithfuls. Of course our argument was about the world reaction on Charlie Hebdo attacks. Several world leaders convened in a solidarity march in Paris. Prominent ones included Barack Obama and Israel Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu. Others can fall in the rest category but most infamous were the African heads of state who attended that march. I singled out Ali Bongo, the sonof Omar Bongo and the President of Gabon. This could definitely not make news. Omar Bongo was the longest president in Africa before he passed on in 2009 I remember. Omar was the greatest puppet of France together with Emperor Jean Bidel Bokasa of the then Central African Empire. In fact Omar was an equivalent of Africa Charge d’ Affairs for France. I remember watching a documentary on Aljazeera where Omar recommended four french men to President Francois Minterrland and they were appointed into the French cabinet. These were his accomplices in plundering the resources of Gabon. Lamentations can go on and on but I believe as Africans we have been abondoned by the world leaders who have for long exploited us right from slave trade in the 17th and 18th centuries, colonialism in the 19th century, cold war in the 20th century and currently through imbalaced terms of trade and inhuman foreign policies like the world depopulation policy by the Americans. Africa has continued to suffer all sorts of terror emanating from Middle East linked bandits like Al Shabab, Boko Haram etc. Anyway, the world may not have to march over the 200 Chibok school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram, but couldn’t they march over the Ebola epedemic? Perhaps a fundraise march in solidarity with the African people? Anyway, like President Museveni normally argues, we, we must look for African solutions to African problems. I rest my case!
