My cousin Chris Webb nominated me for the gratitude challenge that has been going around Facebook. I wont post for 5 days, but i will post this evening for the 3 things (and maybe more) that i am grateful for. 1. I am the most grateful to be the mother of Emily Hashemi and Cody Hashemi. These 2 human beings have brought me more joy in my lifetime than all of the rest of humanity combined. I have been honoured and blessed to have birthed them and been given the privilege of having the opportunity to give them my values, my hopes, and my dreams. May they continue to be the great people that they are .... and continue contributing to helping make this life on Mother Earth better for all beings. I love you both more than you know .. xxx 2. Even though the loss of my dearest friends and family has been the most difficult for me to understand, I am grateful that i had the chance to know each one of you. I am blessed that the Universe ... for whatever reason ... brought you into my life. I miss you all, whether still alive or in Heaven, who are not part of my life anymore. You all know who you are. 3. I am grateful that I have had the life that i did. When i graduated high school in 1981, i had hoped for a fraction of the life that i have now. What i have experienced has been far more than i ever imagined. Once again, i thank the Universe for giving me the opportunities to experience all that i have in my 50 years. Never in my wildest dreams would i think that i would have done all that i did. I am very humbled of all that i have seen, done, experienced, travelled, lived, met people and animals ...... and graduated from University 3 times. Considering that i never believed that i was smart enough to even ever graduate once ..... thank you Universe for giving me the courage and resilience to believe in myself when no one else did ... and go on to graduate 3 times. 4. I am grateful for all the new friends that i have that taught me all about Animal Rights. I never knew about this until a year ago and all of you have taught me so much. Anita PaulYork Agnes Mandi ... and many others that i have met ... your beliefs and teachings have been so inspiring that it has made me want to be like you. Thank you for being an inspiration to help Animals and be a teacher for Activism. 5. I am grateful that I get the chance to live in a country where Canadian soil is not attacked daily. I am grateful that we live in peace here and we are given Health Care for all our citizens ... for free. Thank you Canada for allowing my spirit to grow here and live among your people and values. 6. I am grateful for all the cats that i have lived with all my life. For 42 years, i have had cats. I have loved each of you, as you all have had your own personalities. When i die, i hope so much to see all of you once again. 7. I am grateful for the hope that i have that when i die, i will see my family and dearest friends again. For many years, i believed that this wouldnt happen. But i now believe that it will. I look forward to that reunification with all of you. 8. I am grateful to Shane Hashemi. Even though we have the most turbulent relationship that i have ever had with anyone ... for whatever reason that i dont understand ... the Universe has put us together. It has been one hell of a challenge, but i actually do love you.
