My dear Josephine Wise Jwaad I want to thank you and acknowledge - TopicsExpress

My dear Josephine Wise Jwaad I want to thank you and acknowledge the enormous honour that you gave us at Planet Egypt by collaborating with us. Your dancers were outstanding. They are a great asset to you and your brand and the cachet and lustre that they added to our night was beyond compare. Every step of their involvement reflected upon the professionalism that one can expect from you and those associated with you. It was the epitome of our work with Planet Egypt to have to the prestige of this Association with you. I have long wanted to feature you and the long long long wait of 9 years paid off. Your own dance reflected a vast range of expression, playfulness, humour, coquettish delight, mastery of the dance and interaction with musicians showed a long exposure and association with Performance and Audience involvement and delight in the moment that was palpable to all of us and received to tremendous acclaim and love, support and good will beyond compare. The JWAAD cheering squad led by Stine was an unexpected and enormous gift. I have always shied away from making Public Statements as this dance and art has much politics. But if there is one thing I want to convey to those willing to receive this message is this: Our Dance and Art is connected to our Hearts and Souls. Other people are part of our Journey. How we engage with them says much about our own evolution and integrity. We all struggle with the challenge of working or learning in this field. Many people underwrite /subsidise their love for this Art -as income rarely sustains us. I have been in this field many years (and you longer of course). Many opportunities now exist that did not in our time. It is uplifting that new and younger dancers have a more vibrant scene to emerge onto. If there is one successful route that I can be sure of- it is to do so under the aegis of someone who has already established a Good Name and a Good Practise, has a support system in place for students and teachers and a vast network of mentors. You are the Number 1 for this. It is the pinnacle of my work I was able to feature you and our honour to so. Many many many thanks for such a fabulous opportunity and for everything you did to make our night such success. My love, praise and thanks to you, Sophie, your performers and ALL of JWAAD.
