My faithful friends/ family Congo Man, Sedinam, Erica, PastorIfy (mom), Jummy and Joshua have ALL challenged me to share why I love Jesus. So as a girl who had a lot of people around her, popularity,perfect relationships, accolades, and whatever else I desired I still had a huge emptiness (void). I had this place in my heart where I literally pursued these things in order to feel a sense of purpose in my life here on earth. I had grown up in a home with parents who pursued God wholeheartedly, and when they would put all their eggs in Gods basket I would get upset. I had a plan, go to law school, get rich, and provide for myself and my family. Thinking, money could solve all the lack I felt in my heart. One day, the Lord opened my spiritual eyes when I was laughing at a friend who was testifying of Jesus publicly. God revealed Matthew 5:16( In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.) God really loved me. He showed me when everything faded away, He was all I had and truly all I needed. All the friends, money, jobs, degrees, and etc would not give me purpose. Jer 29:11 became real (For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope)! Jesus showed me that although I had laughed at Him and walked away from His outstretched arms, He had never given up on me. He loves me. ROMANS 5:8 (but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a sinner.. NO I was and He died and washed me with His perfect (non-sinner) love and blood! I had a purpose, and His name was Jesus. He wanted me and I needed Him. Like all the relationships that I had never compared to my Dad in Heaven who gave everything for me. Ahhhhhhhhhh Hes amazing! This is a song that i feel will help you understand my heart song...
