My father asked me when I was a little boy, What should we do when you dont listen the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time after given a direct order? In my mind then, like in my mind now, it hasnt changed. Although I did not like to get spankings it was understood to be affirmative action toward my disobedience, and I learned a lot from them. I understand today some parents may go to far or may even need a little guidance in handling disciplinary action and by no means do I believe a child should be BEAT on or abused to teach them. There needs to be further communication with less anger to create some type of understanding between parent and child. Feel free to tell me whats on your mind.
