My father used to say that the Malaysian came from various backgrounds and have worked hard to build this country together. However when time past, political interest has surfaced and prevails beyond the Malaysian interest which not only hurt the relationship between the various communities, the worst was the nation development was deeply damaged. It’s baseless to downgrade any single community as thou they didn’t contribute for this country. The strength of this nation “Malaysia” is very much depends on our UNITY and there is no doubt about it. I’m certain that without this strength we will not reach our destiny. On this festival, irrespective of race or religion, let’s take pledges that we will not compromise on our unity for any returns. I wish my Muslims friend “Selamat menyambut 1 Syawal” and for others do not forget to wish and visit our Muslims friend’s house over this Syawal month.
