My favourite part of the video is when she spends 2 minutes telling me why I should not call myself a humanist but a feminist, then I went back to her feminist checklist at the start and it had 3 goals...all exclusively applying to womens rights. Is it so hard for people to just say look, 52% of this planet is women, the remaining 48% are men, lets try as best we can to equally share the economic, social and political demands of this world ? This means more women in parliament, equal economic and legal rights, contraceptive choices for men, but it also includes more women in the military, a greater number of men receiving custody of their children and more paternal leave/ stay at home dads. That is why I will never call myself the f-word, because it is too gender-centric (as this name implies). It will truly be an amazing world when men and women will be able to move forward together to establish an equal system for both genders :)
