My friend Natalie Cochnauer-Benge said this best: The homes still standing are like a incredibly bad car accident that you have to piece everything broken back together and you have to find those things that are broken carefully! The homes still standing (like our house) was not "Total Loss" by the insurance companies are having just as much stress as the people whose homes were "Total Loss" (I know a lot of them lost animals and irreplaceable memories)( and so many that lost loved one, has to be the worst). This is not easy and very stressful! and we still have to go to work every day and on some days ask off to attend to things that needs to be done at the home. To top it off a pipe broke behind the washer and a plumber had to come out today and fix it. So we had to ask off from work. Please remember these people like us because this is not easy!
