My friends, my family, and my dearly loved ones. Take three minutes. Watch this video. Its good, I promise. Its not funny, its not entertaining. But in a few minutes, this man perfectly explains the world. As I see it, at least. And I cant really speak for anyone else. The first bit of the video is scary. Just like the world. And a whole lot of people, including me, have gotten so scared by whats going down across the globe that theyve felt its too hard to go on. A lot of people are feeling that right now. But if you hang on, I promise it always gets better. I can assure you that keeping on keeping on is worth it. Even if it takes more than the thirty seconds it does in this video, everything IS going to be okay. Maybe not any time soon, maybe not all at once, but it will be. My main goal in life is to love. As widely and deeply as I possibly can. Everyone needs to be loved. I believe that. If I think back over some of the people Ive met in my life, I may have to admit that not everyone DESERVES to be... But hey, weve got to start somewhere. Somehow. Theres a lot of hate in the world, because hate is just what you do. If you try to just love everyone, you leave yourself so vulnerable. It means every time youre hurt, youre hurt by someone you truly love. It feels like a punch to the gut and a slap to the face. Simultaneously. Believe me, I know. But I still do it. Because I believe, so very strongly (and cornily), that love has the capacity to make all the difference. For everyone. And you know what? If all other people loved so freely, theres no way thered be neeeeaaaarly as much punch-slapping. Like I said, weve got to start somewhere. I hope someone reads this. I hope it makes someone smile.
