My heart is heavy today ... My daughter, Ashlee Humphrey lost her biological father, Eric Humphrey . He passed away from a long, gallant battle with a brain tumor. This past year they had formed a wonderful relationship with one another: the last 6 months becoming almost obsessed with rediscovering each other and his first grandchild. I was so happy for them both - Even if I did have to dig deep into my brain and try to remember some of the silly crap they would recall from our marriage (23 yrs. ago). I am extremely grateful for the laughter, smiles, and the peaceful understanding they shared together in his last months. I pray you hold them forever close to you Ashlee- and know that he loved you! Thank You Eric... For the knowledge of your grandparents, The beautiful child you created with me, and last but not least ... The mutual forgiveness and friendship we shared in the end. My deepest & sincerest sympathy goes to his sister- Tammy and his 2 nephews, The Coons Family, and his 2 children: Faith and Kimberly.
