My hubs and I were sitting here smiling about the way Grey used to pronounce a certain word and started talking about how we need to take more video of the kids-obviously I take a ton of pictures of my kids but that doesnt really capture the cute ways they talk or dance (well it does on that sometimes). The problem is that video is harder to manage for me-I take some with my iPhone and my camera and they sit on my computer. He actually brought up a valid point-it was easier (in our opinion) to shoot video when we were kids and up until about 5 years ago because you take the tape out and you have the video there. Now you have it on a card or a hard drive and then have to put on your computer and save for whatever media you want. It would much easier to put a tape or something in at the beginning of the year and then take it out at the end of the year and send it off to be processed and sent back on media watchable on your tv. Just a thought :) I would totally buy an old school camcorder (okay not the ones that are like bricks but the smaller ones that took the DV tapes) if they had HD quality and then do what I said-keep a long running tape in there and send it off at the end of they year...I guess I could do the same with something that takes a card too and just use the same card all year....but it seems that most are just a hard drive. I dont want to use my 1D because I want to be able to take pictures too and I want to keep the video separate on its on card so its not confusing...thoughts? Maybe I am just a rambling pregnant woman!
