My kids hate rap music. They think its so ghetto and stereotypical. I agree a lot of the lyrics are pretty horrible, but sometimes the beat is just undeniable. I never listened to it when I was younger, but now that Im old, I kind of dig dancing to some of it. Red watches some video on You-Tube that says everyone in the music industry has sold their souls to the devil. He spouts this constantly as if its fact. He often mentions specifically Jay Z, Beyonce and Kanye West. So in the car yesterday I say, Well, I like some Jay Z. and Kanye, I dont really like him. I definitely dont like him as a person. But that that Golddigger song is a jam! I start singing it the song and doing some of my rap moves. Mom! Stop being ghetto! I dont know where these kids come from.
