My low was -24 early this morning....Tonight will be cold, but not as cold as last night. We will see another arctic front push though Thursday night and into Friday. The winds will become gusty and there will be a chance for some snow showers With the chance for a few squalls.... The Great Lakes could respond with a little lake effect , amounts look to be light generally 1-3 inches of lake snow. The air behind the front will be cold, but not as cold as it has been. We will see a brief warm up over the weekend. But another cold front will move though late Sunday into Monday. On Sunday, w will have a northern disturbance moving through the Great Lakes. There is also a chance for a coastal storm on Sunday into Monday ( I know I said it would say south). But now it looks to make a closer approach to the southern New England coast. The Euro has more of western track than the GFS does. Right now it looks like rain for the I-95 corridor, for Long Island, Rhode Island, and the Cape/offshore islands.... it looks to be rain. Those in Boston look to see mostly rain...but there could be some mix. For northern New England it looks like it could start as mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain, then change to rain... Those in eastern New York State back into Pennsylvania could see a snow mix as well......As is always the case the track will decide who will see what. Even those seeing rain, have a chance to see snow on the backside of the storm as cold air filters in. We also could see another Clipper during the middle of next week.
