My mom Barb Barder challenged me to do a list of ten books that influenced me the most, and apparently I cant think of anything better to do at 12:30 at night, so here we go. 1. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy-Douglas Adams 2. Brave New World-Aldous Huxley 3. Small Gods-Terry Pratchett 4. The Sandman-Neil Gaiman (Not sure if graphic novels count, but its my list, damnit!) 5. Toon: The RPG-Greg Costikyan and Warren Spector (like at least one tabletop RPG book wouldnt be on here.) 6. Isle of View-Piers Anthony (Just to establish: Im not proud of this. This does not constitute an endorsement. But Id be lying if it wasnt an influence.) 7. To Kill a Mockingbird-Harper Lee. 8. The Belgariad-David Eddings. 9. The Night Circus-Erin Morgenstern. 10. Publish This Book-Steven Markley. Now, I challenge/guilt Katrina Rue, Frank Super, Ben Roby, Sarah Miller, and Mark Hilgart to do this next.
