My name is Hala Alnaji, I am a Palestinian refugee living in Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip. Throughout my life I have experienced many Israeli aggressions, including the most recent attacks which are still continuing to kill Palestinians and devastate our infrastructure and homes. These experiences have given me a strong belief that knowledge and education are the most powerful tools to help my country, inspiring me to train as an architect. I have a scholarship to study a Technical Architecture MA at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK this September, but I need your support to study and return to Palestine with the knowledge I need to make a difference. My course fees are covered by the scholarship, but I am unable to pay rent and living expenses due to the bad economics situation here in the Gaza Strip.
