My name is Kaleb and I am an older man of about 10 years of age. I am a street dog who has been suffering for some time. Being a street dog means you really have to fend for yourself; there is nobody there who will help you. I came to Soi Dog with a severe case of mange. I had been itchy and sore for the longest time. My once beautiful coat was gone; all my fur had fallen out. I had a nasty wound at the base of my tail. I felt ugly and sad. Since being at the shelter, I am slowly starting to recover. I am old, so this will take some time. The vets are treating me every day and I am beginning to trust them but I was quite scared at first. The other day I noticed something that made me very happy – a little bit of fur has started to grow back on my legs. When the Soi Dog people come to visit me, I now let them pat me on the head. They sit beside me and tell me about the Emergency Response Team. It is thanks to them that I have been helped.
