My news feed has been filled with anger, frustration, disappointment and all that you can think of bec. of the relief operations of the government. I dont even know if there are such operations and I dont want to conclude. Im hoping they are doing their part but as you can see, even international help and media have been bashing our government for a very very slow and unfelt response. It has been almost a week and people are starving to death. Can you imagine the children and the elderly? Crying of fear. Dying of starvation. Worrying how they can survive this tremendous aftercall. Sleepless and cold nights. Parents who are suppose to be the strength of their families crying in front of the tv begging for help. Sick people. Dead people all over the place. I just cant imagine how those orphaned children are feeling right now... I read a post that the us military troops didnt want the government to operate and handle their relief and that they are the ones that will be distributing the goods. If this is the case, its too shameful and in deed a slap on our government. I believe that if we are seeing what needs to be done, people wont be reacting like this. The government needs to give us a good damn reason and show us that what we have been waiting for almost a week is worth it. They cant be excused no matter what they say because OTHERS were able to help without our government asking. Id like to just think that this is a wake up call for all of us Filipino people to think wiser and be wiser.
