My petition to the EU today. Send your own petition if you have issues you want to the EU to investigate here: europarl.europa.eu/aboutparliament/en/00533cec74/Petitions.html Petition to the EU, Fritz Kohle, 19/3/2014 § 130 IV StGB in Germany provides the legal basis to deliver prison sentences to anyone who delivers hate speeches, promotes or tolerates national socialistic ideals and ideas. Law No. 2 of the Allied Command outlawed in 1945 symbols such as the swastika and any other national socialist symbols as well as national socialist propaganda to promote the national socialist spirit. In recent weeks Germany as well as the European Union have associated themselves with the new but unelected Ukrainian government. Arseni Jazenjuk, Premier of the Ukraine has close ties to the right wing party Svoboda, formerly known as the Ukrainian National Socialist Party. Andreji Parubij, also a well documented right wing nationalist and founder of the Ukrainian National Socialist Party is now in charge of national security in the Ukrainian security council. Dmytro Yarosk leads the right wing scene in the Ukraina and assists Andreij Parubij in the security council. These connections were uncovered by the BBC and The Guardian and highlight the influence right wing radical elements have in the Ukrainian government. The spirit and goals of Svoboda or formerly Ukrainian National Socialist Party are not in accordance with German law. Many other EU countries have similar laws. For example only Ethnic Ukrainians were able to join the Ukrainian National Socialist Party, Svoboda’s reputation is not much better. Right wing National Socialist symbols such as the swastika and Wolfsangel highlight the ideals and goals of those right wing groups in the Ukraine. Should the European Union grant these groups more credibility by negotiating with them? Or inviting them on state visits as was recently the case with Jazenjuk and EU president Baroso? Or should the EU stick to its principles, outlaw dealings with groups such as this and lead by example?
