My response from the PSC: Ms. Loveland: Unfortunately, the Public Service Commission (PSC) will not be able to be of official assistance to you as the complaint described below is specifically concerning internet service. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) determined that internet is an information service and not a telecommunication service over which any state has jurisdiction, regardless of whether this service is provided by an affiliate of an otherwise regulated company. Our agency, which regulates state utilities, also does not regulate satellite companies such as DirectTV or DISH. Although we are not able to process or pursue the below as a complaint through our agency, this filing will be documented and sent to Frontier with a request that it be forwarded to the appropriate department for review and, hopefully, some form of resolution. We will also request that someone, associated with this service, contact you directly to discuss your issues. As a side note, we have recently been contacted by a number of Frontier internet customers from this area, who have similar complaints, and we are sharing these with the company. Should you desire to pursue an actual complaint concerning this matter, you may contact the Office of the Attorney General by calling (1-800-368-8808) or, we recommend the FCC (1-888-225-5322 or via website - fcc.gov/ ). We hope these actions and information will be of assistance to you.
