My take on the Horseshoe Casino... Because so many of you asked. 1) The very first thing you notice, is how we lit the place is (high ceilings and bright light) ..where MD Live always seems dark. 2) There are bathrooms all over the place as opposed to MD live where you can have a long walk. 3) I used the valet parking which is pricey, usually $20 but on special now for $10. You are better off self parking. NOTE!!! - during Ravens Game days, it can be $90. DO NOT plan on parking there during a game. 4) Everyone seemed very nice and very helpful. 5) For my poker buddies -No waiting in line..They will bring you chips to the table and even register you as a Harrahs member. I mistakenly waited 20 minutes in line to get a players card. 6) The restaurants look nice..I cant wait to try Binnions steak house. There is a Tarks down there. 7) Note - there is NOT a lot for your spouse or significant other to do other than watch you gamble. Its not like MD Live where they can walk next door to Arundel Mills and shop. 8) I got there through the city (Green Street, near Univ. of MD hospital). If you do that, the 1st left is self parking, the 2nd left is valet Parking. Youll see. When leaving, I hopped right on 95 South to 695 and it was easy. 9) lastly, and most fun, is the great 80s rock background music they played the entire time I was there, next to the hard Rock casino, it was pretty cool and lends to the happy atmosphere. 10) - A Great Friday or saturday night date spot for couples.
