My throw back Thursday poem: Old Souls Have you ever looked into the eyes of an old soul? Children gone unrecognized, painted green yet staying gold. Innocence in spoken words, out of the mouths of babes concede, remember what the scriptures read stating and a child will lead. Take a careful, searching look into the eyes of an old soul. Beyond their questions lies a wisdom truly ages old. For in these there shines conviction, as they spread their wings to soar, removing doubt through recognition, proving these eyes have seen before. If you take a patient look into the eyes of an old soul, you just may find where magic starts as mystery now unfolds. Teachers taught to be the pupil are the students who can truly teach. Faith within alone can take you where your mind wont let you reach. Take a long hard loving look into the eyes of an old soul. While wiping often tears away you may hear secrets never told. Of sorrow our children suffer as they too, embrace our misery, also the joys of living life to each days full degree. Looking deep and deeper still into the eyes of an old soul, you may see their pain and laughter as lifestyle mysteries do unfold. For theirs is truth beyond the answer of what lies through the distant door, eyes of old souls share the treasures of those whove been here once before...
