My traveling companion is five years old, were going to Brantland.... Lars and I left at 6:30 this am and took the scenic Route 39 route to Brant cemetery and Angola, via Perry, Arcade, Collins, etc. One downpour, a couple showers, but nice overall. Spent some time at the family plot in Brant, then toured Angola, visited the lake/beach (screaming wind but warm, but reminded me of that cuts like a knife Lake Erie gale to come three months from now). Realized we were near Buffalo when 1) Everyone was off the roads by 12:30 so we could go to Teds and be second in line instantly and 2) The HOCKEY NEWS is displayed with equal prominence to PEOPLE magazine at Tops. School house below is now the Evans historical museum and my mother taught there at one time. And thats the creek of my childhood, which was about a block from my house. I always find that each dog has a speed threshold; a certain MPH when its just too much visual input and they have to lie down. Lars can handle everything up to 60 or so, hes quite the traveler.
