My very own ripple effect. .. Who made me who I am today. .. .thanks to some great people and one memorable event... When I was young I struggled at school.. And felt sad and lonely and isolated. Watching the rest of my friends moving forward... When I was young you where regarded as slow or even thick... As dyslexia was not recognised. But thanks to support off my mother and teachers. I moved forward slowly I had fantastic recall from the tv and radio... But when it came to reading and spelling I would only get 2 out 20 in the spelling tests.... I would look at a page of txt and see a white margin and a grey block.. Until One day when I was about 10 in my last year of primary school... I could SUDDENLY read.!!!! Because I had all the support and teaching. The ability and knowledge was there. The way I explain it was like someone turned on a light. Everyone was STUNNED. within 2 weeks I was reading and scoring 18-20 in spelling tests.. This summer I was at a flower show presentation evening..and was talking to David Cooke my old primary school head master. Who said you must be very proud of all the awards at flower shows that I keep winning... I replied to Him.... The award that ment the most to me of all the prizes I had ever one . was one that was given to me on my last day of primary school. .by him That had Never been awarded before to the pupil in school that had made the most progress. ...the trophy was then given annually to that pupil. That was the proudest day of my life. Recently I then received a plain white box as a gift from him. That was simply wonderful. I can never thank my teachers and mother for never giving up..
