Mystical art meets fashion! The Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios has decided to base one of its collections on the Swedish artist and mystic Hilma af Klint. Hilma af Klint (1862-1944) is regarded as one of the pioneers of abstract art. Inspired by the new spirituality of the late 19th century, and with an interest in the esoteric and occult, she created a complex oeuvre. She wanted to visualize the possibility of a higher union between the opposites of the polarized world, such as male and female, light and darkness, striving for reconciliation of contradictions, for unity and totality.
