NATURE OF INCIDENT: THEFT IRC NUMBER: 140196560 OFFICER: Ptl. K. Steve DATE: 9/19/2014 TIME: 1310 LOCATION: 155 E NORTHAMPTON ST PERSONS INVOLVED: Victim - Rite Aid E Northampton St W-B INCIDENT DETAILS: Officers were dispatched to the Rite Aid, located at 155 East Northampton Street, for a report of a retail theft. According to the complainant, around 1300 hours he observed a black male conceal a package of Singer brand needles in his pocket and attempt to flee the business. The complainant stated that he then confronted the suspect and escorted him to the Loss Prevention Office. Once inside the office, the suspect was uncooperative and unwilling to provide his information. The suspect then stood up and attempted to flee the office. The complainant stated that when he blocked the doorway the suspect elbowed him in his head and ran out of the office. The suspect then began to run through the store with the complainant following directly behind him. The complainant stated that when he confronted the suspect in the main entrance to the business, the suspect shoved the complainant into the main entry door. The main entry door sustained damage and would have to be repaired. The complainant provided a photograph of the suspect as well as surveillance footage. Investigation is continuing. LTSO488
