NC Senate panel runs out of time to talk anti-LEED bill: House Bill 628 would end the use of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program on public projects. The N.C. Senate’s committee on agriculture, environment and natural resources was set to discuss the controversial anti-LEED bill today but discussion on a different item dominated the morning meeting. The anti-LEED effort is the latest in a series of bills aimed at unraveling legislation with an environmental bent. Bills are under consideration that would ease energy-efficiency standards for commercial buildings, strip cities such as Charlotte from local control over stormwater and erosion measures, and repeal the state’s renewable-energy standards. bizjournals/charlotte/blog/going_green/2013/06/nc-senate-committee-no-time-anti-leed.html?ana=e_du_pub&s=article_du&ed=2013-06-06&u=nmyE6MPfcI3Y5aYX8psAXTxNhTY&t=1370546883&page=all
