Note: Again, I am posting this here in Facebook not for official purposes, but for the benefit of my fellow Estehanons who wanted to know the real situation of our beloved province. Borongan - 4 plus 3 missing Note: The 3 deaths from Oras reported yesterday was removed because when verified it was found out not to be true as attested by the Mayor. REPORTED INJURED: Total = 976 1. Oras - 73 2. Dolores - 57 3. Sulat - 68 4. Borongan - 78 5. Maydolong - 3 6. Balangkayan - 2 Note: The total number of reported injured increased to 976 for the whole province but no details as to what municipalities they are coming from was mentioned in the report. Dinky Soliman of DSWD, all the 95,417 families of the whole province of Eastern Samar, without any distinction, will be given food packs on the first wave of relief distribution, and all municipalities (not yet 100%) will be served today. COMMUNICATION LINES: 1. Globe Mobile is now operational within Borongan City as of yesterday, as promised. 2. Smart Mobile is still fixing their lines and their systems. TRANSPORTATION LINES: The bridge in Brgy. Libas, San Julian is not passable anymore, as of yesterday afternoon, but DPWH and the contructor will do their best to fix it. All other roads going to Eastern Samar are passable. ELECTRICITY: ESAMELCO promised that they will be able to revive electric power within two weeks, provided that the NGCP will fix the supply of electricity from the main line.
