NNO DONATIONS UPDATE; Thank you all for doing such a great job with National Night Out activities. This year was one for the record books, with approximately 140 parties citywide our staff had a fantastic night visiting with everyone despite the rain which brought many parties to an early conclusion. On behalf of all those who will receive a little help to ensure our children are successful thank you for your efforts on gathering food and school supplies, you and your neighborhoods have made a difference. The response we received has been amazing as we have already brought over 6 truckloads of donated food and school supplies to the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf. When the food shelf director saw the volume her only words were, “WOW”. For those with food and backpacks/school supplies which we could not pick-up, forgot to pick-up, or parties that closed down a bit early due to the rain we have a couple options to get the items where they are needed; • Bring them to the Public Safety Center at any time day or night, 785 Old Highway 8 NW, and use the green phone in the lobby to call for someone to come retrieve them • Bring them to the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf located at 2101 14th Street NW Monday through Thursday 9-2 pm, Fridays, 9-11:30 am or if these times are not convenient for you, please call 651-621-7450 to schedule an appointment. • Give us a call on our Non-Emergency Phone number at 651-767-0640 and we will send an officer out to pick them up from your house.
