NO MORE EXCUSES Man proposes but God purposes, or as we said yesterday, man proposes but God disposes. To dispose means to conclude a matter to a guided and controlled end; to let a thing go because one is finished with it; or to tell everything that happened to a particular person or event. To dispose of something means you have the mastery over it. To have the mastery means you are superior in ability or in knowledge or in authority. Is there any thing in this universe that can do more than God? or knows more than God? or outranks God? And moreover, with all this power, this God is a God of love. If he is God and a God of love of love then nothing else out there can love any more or to a greater extent than He. There is great comfort and safety in this and it is foolish not to believe it. The disposition of God will always work to our good but the proposition of human beings may work to our destruction. When Gods disposition overrules our propositions then let us be thankful for we have just been saved. Kind Readers, if life has not worked out the way you planned then learn from your mistakes and rejoice for Gods loving deliverance. This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
