A PRAYER FOR MY LAPTOP.... worked till late last night, finished that first draft of the proposal. Got up early this morning and did another round of reading through to see if anything that needed some fine tuning. Was almost at the end then my computer screen went blank. Dark but the power was on. I tried to restart my computer but it wouldnt. It made me nervous. Was too sleepy last nite i didnt send a copy to my 2 email folders. (Thats what i did with my thesis. I kept copies in my 2 emails till a friend in the university offered to keep them in his university email archive. He said its much safer than a portable backup memory stick or drive). i was struggling to restart/reboot my computer hoping the document didnt get lost. Its taking long. The paper had to be sent to the NGO today (Saturday on their side). Feeling pressured. I thought, maybe take the laptop to the maintenance of the store where i bought it. Still that would take time. Already feeling hopeless. I thought why not pray for the machine. I did. I went to the bathroom for a couple of minutes. Afterwards I made another try to turn on my computer. Thank the Lord. He answered my prayer, the welcome window on my laptop screen suddenly appeared. PTL!
