NOT IN ISLAM..... Grave-worship( shirk) ‘Shirk’ is the absolute single biggest sin in Islam, which Allah has Himself promised in the Holy Quran never to forgive! This sin is so heinous and so monstrous, that Allah has promised to forgive any of the sins of man, except this one sin! The Prophet muhammad ( sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam ) said: “Whoever dies calling on someone else as a rival to Allaah, will enter Hell.” (Bukhaari) Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72: Whoever commits ‘shirk’ (invoking anything with Allah), Allah shall forbid for him Paradise, and Hell shall be his abode. And for such wrong doers there will be no one to help. Quran 18:102 ->► Do then those who disbelieve think that they can take My slaves as Auliyaa (lords, gods, protectors, etc.) besides Me? Verily, We have prepared Hell as an entertainment for the disbelievers. Quran 7:194 ->► Those you call on besides Allah are servants, just like yourselves. Say; Truly my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah, Lord of the worlds (Surah Al-Anaam 6:162) Some of those who worship graves walk around them as if in Tawaaf, and acknowledge their corners, or touch them, kiss them, wipe their faces with their dust, prostrate towards them when they see them, or stand before them in fear and humility, praying for whatever they need of healing from some disease, or for a child, or for help with some difficulty. Sometimes they call upon the occupant of the grave, saying “O my master, I have come to you from far away, so do not let me down.” This category of shirk has two aspects: (i) - MAJOR SHIRK (SHIRK-AL-AKBAR)- As Muslims we believe that all forms of worship should be for Allah alone. Those people who physically direct their worship at other then Allah, commit this major shirk. By doing this action, mankind commits the greatest act of rebellion and places himself at the doors of eternal hellfire. (ii)-MINOR shirk:Minor shirk is ar-riyaa which is to beautify an action which is initially intended for Allaah, for the sake of showing off or gaining praise. Allaah, the Most High, says, So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord. (al-Kahf: 110) Some of them shave their heads at the graves, and some have books with titles like Manaasik Hajj al-Mashaahid (“The Rituals of Pilgrimage to Shrines”), mashaahid or shrines referring to graves or tombs of awliyaa’. Some of them believe that the awliyaa’ are running the affairs of the universe and that they have the power to benefit or harm. Allaah says (interpretationof the meaning): “And if Allaah touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is no one who can repel His Favour . . .” [Yoonus 10:107] Similarly, they call upon dead Prophets, righteous people and others to intercede for them or to rescue them from some calamity, but Allaah says (interpretationof the meaning): “Is not He (better than your god) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any ilaah (god) with Allaah? . . .” [al-Naml 27:62] Bowing down to the graves of even the Prophet (saws) is shirk. Waseela from death person is also shirk: It is not like calling a prime-minister to reach the president. In dua we reach Allah directly ........ A person can supplicate directly to Allah Ta῾āla without any intermediary and without the intercession of anyone. Allah says: وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ “And when my servants ask you about Me, of course, I am near. I respond to the call of one when he prays to Me; so they should respond to Me and have faith in Me so that they may be on the right path.” (Quran, 2:186) Allah says in the Quran Surah Bani Israel: 17:110 Proclaim, Pray calling (Him) Allah or calling (Him) the Most Gracious; whichever name you call with - they are all His magnificent names; and do not offer your prayers very loudly or very softly, and seek a way between them. That means we all call Allah by his names as raheem,ya rabbi and do waseela through these beautiful names, like oh allah you are the most merciful please forgive my sins.So waseela by praising Allah and via his beautiful names.
