NPD Survivor Promise There will come a day when you wont wake up every morning replaying what happened to you. There will come a day where you wont go over every conversation you ever had with that person. There will come a day when you wont spend every waking moment wondering what theyre doing or who theyre with. There will come a day when you wont have any desire to look at them or speak to them. There will come a day when you wont question if it was something that you did that caused them to act the way they did. There will come a day when you wont ask yourself if youre the one whos disordered. There will come a day when you wont wish them back into your life. There will come a day when you wont be torn between their small kindnesses they offered to you while they hurt you at the same time. There will come a day when you wont be afraid of everyone you meet. There will come a day when you realize that the pain youve endured has made you a warrior no matter how small and weak you feel right now. There will come a day when you will not be afraid to love again. There will come a day when you wont be obsessed with NPD and youll stop reading about it and watching endless videos about it. Youll know enough about it because you lived it and survived it. You will find out that you were chosen to go through this and help be a champion for someone else who feels the same way you feel right now... but these feelings will be a faint memory. Youll always remember it, but it wont hurt so badly. I cant say when these days come - but they will come. This is so important to hear when youre in the depths of the depression of NPD abuse because I know how it feels to think that everyday for the rest of your life is going to be this consuming darkness. It wont be. I was there and now Im here - finally seeing light. Love and light to you all
