NPL Juniors is the official under – 16 football program initiated by 442 Management. This program will run simultaneously with the Nagaland Premier League. The program is designed to be an interactive year long activity with competitive football tournaments organized across the state during certain specific periods. The idea and the program was conceptualized by Richard Belho of the Kohima Komets FC Franchise. This program is to provide a platform for our young footballers and students to learn about the different aspects of the game starting from club management, brotherhood, club loyalty, training methods, discipline etc but overall to play competitive football and develop the young football talents. If there is one thing we need to fulfil our promise, it is to find one pure talent and this could be you. Affiliates - NPL Junior will comprise all ten NPL Clubs under – 15’s with the inclusion of Life Sports FC and New Market FC. How to become an affiliate – Clubs, Schools or Churches can apply by forming a team, provide your club logo’s, club colors, at least a club coach or a senior mentor. Program Fun – The idea behind is to make football fun, exciting and educational. A group of friends can form a team, come up with their own logo design, club colors, choose a captain, write about their club, provide match facts and play friendly matches against a different group or organisation. The idea is to grow along with the club. There will be exciting prices and incentives for the best logos, best match previews, best goal videos, top scorer, teams of the week and the innovation does not stop there. You can provide us with training videos, short video clips of your matches being played and stories of your best football buddies. The ideology: Initiate early by learning about club culture, loyalties, camaraderie, developing leadership and management skills early but most importantly football skills. If you have the talent, we will find you. Holiday Season Tournaments: We will organise Under – 16 Tournaments in different district during three holiday breaks which is the Summer Break, Winter break and the October Holidays. There will be awards, incentives and also training camps and football carnivals running along side the tournaments. At the end of one season or one calendar year, the best teams in terms of activities and awards won will play for the NPL Junior Crown. Talented young Footballers will then get scholarships and training programs with different NPL teams or outside state teams and academies. Criteria to enter the tournament will be based on the data collected of match reports and other activities from the affiliates. NPL Juniors – “The Future is Yours”
