NRDC’s artist in residence, #JennyKendler, has recently transformed the popular Chicago bar, Violet Hour, into an urban prairie ecosystem to raise awareness of the importance of native Illinois prairie plants and pollinators. The mural — A Place of Light and Wind (for Lost Prairies) — includes QR codes embellished within a variety of pollinators, which take visitors to a website where they can sign up to receive their own native prairie seeds in the mail.
